Diane SteeleABOUT DIANE STEELE

A native Californian, Diane Steele's home based business in Ojai Cal. is inspired by her passionate vision to create Thoughtful Gifts of Art.

A dressmaker-designer and entrepreneur, Diane's keen sense of beauty and creativity enables her to blend function with artistic beauty, keeping her creations fresh, and innovative.

Diane was first inspired by Donald A. Peters' popular images: Wizard of Oz Where Dreams Come True and Alice in Wonderland Through the Looking-Glass. Diane transforms these images into beautiful lithographs, signed and numbered by Don Peters.

Diane's path crossed with and was influenced by local Ojai artists such Rhett Headley, Michael McFadden, Richard Billings and Daly Road Graphics.

Diane's friendship with Rhett Headley, a second generation transcendental mediator, helped launch her exclusive line of felt Mandalas. A Tibetan word, Mandalas are geometric, circular designs symbolizing completion and wholeness.
Diane prints by hand the Mandalas using 100% recycled Eco-Fi felt. The felt is heat and stain resistant, yet easily washable. The Mandala designs and colors are beautiful, vibrant and stunning.
All Thoughtful Gifts of Art products are made exclusively in the USA using eco-friendly materials and Diane's desire to support other American business owners.

Diane's comment on her business Thoughtful Gifts of Art: "This is the most rewarding work I've ever done. It is a creative and fulfilling adventure and facilitates my own spiritual and personal transformation!"

This is the end of an era. I'm discontinuing printing on coffee cups and am looking forward to my passion as a dressmaker, combined with my "Thoughtful Gifts of Art" line of Mandalas--all made in the U.S.A. Thank you all for buying from a local artisan.
